About Searching

If you have created Search Categories in your Stock Control module, you can set search values for the sub-class here.

You must create each Search Category in Stock Control > Stock Maintenance > Search Category first. These Search Categories then appear on the Searching tab.

For more information about how to set up search categories, refer to the Stock Control help.

To create a search value for your sub-classes

Open: Retail > Merchandise > Merchandise Hierarchy.

  1. Highlight the relevant class and click Add.

    The Add New Sub-Class window appears.

  2. Select Searching.
  3. Highlight a Search Category.
  4. Click Add to add another Search Value to the search category. The Add New Search Value box appears.
  5. Enter a unique name for the search value.
  6. Click OK to save the new value.
  7. Select the checkbox for Search Category and Search Value that you want to apply to this sub-class.
